Wests Tigers Indigenous Jersey

This has been the highlight of my business to date!!

Having the privilege to sit down with the boys and to discuss with them what they wanted from the Jersey design was something special. A jersey design that mapped out their Journeys from their Hometowns/Mob/Communities, which incorporated their individual totems was a challenge that I accepted with only a short time frame to create!!

34hrs, 2 days preparing and 2 full days painting. This was extremely tiring, but I’m humbled to be given the opportunity to be trusted with the design from start to finish!!

Family is one of the most important aspects of being Indigenous in Australia.
It defines who we are in accordance to our culture, our values and gives us a sense of connectedness to Our Land and Our People.

There are common questions asked when meeting another Indigenous Person that you have never met before, these are, What’s your name? Who’s your Mob? Where you from?
The 7 Indigenous Players wanted a story that showcases where they are from and who’s their Mob.

It’s hard to leave our Communities and we find that we only see Family on occasions of Aboriginal Knockouts or go home for sorry business, but we know who we are and where we can always call home.

These 7 Athletes of the game are not only here representing themselves and showcasing their natural abilities for Wests Tigers, they are here for all of us!
