Doing our bit for the environment 🍃
We use compostable bags from a company called Hero Packaging who specialise in sustainable packaging in Australia. The packaging industry is one of the biggest
consumers of plastic.
What is compostable packaging?
• Packaging that will turn into fertiliser in 90-120 days.
• Made from 30% plant-based materials such as PLA and 70% from a certified compostable material called PBAT (a synthetic bonding agent).
• Plastic free and is certified by ABA.
Benefits
• It does not emit harmful toxins when it breaks down
• easily breaks down when it is buried in soil or disposed of in a compost bin.
• Quickly converts into rich compost
• It becomes healthy food for the planet
• They also donate 20% of all profits to charity 👏🏽
So! Once you’ve opened your bag, tried on the hat, taken a selfie and tagged us in it! simply cut the bag up and place it in your home compost, or alternatively, green waste centre. You can even take it to your local school or childcare centre, most schools and childcare centres have a green team! ✌🏽
